metropolis

metropolis

A Poem by glassdolly

mountains cast in iron and stone
tattered and broken like brittle bone
the lights are off the citys dead
just empty streets where cars once sped
the jungle starts to make its mark
the future here looks very stark
towers built on brick and glass
things that were not meant to last
