A Poem by glassdolly

i can see you,
not like they do
i can see the sorrow behind your laughter
i can see it in your eyes

do i alone see the cracks in the wax smile you wear?
do i alone see the hopeless expression
you hide in the corner of your eye?
how sad that those you hold dear can
see none of the tears and yet i see them so clear

and how sad that i may not save you
that i may not free you from your dread.
your shell has hardened
and you still bear the wounds of your last betrayal.
you hold tight to the tender flesh and let no one in to comfort you and treat your wounds.

i hear your cry for help
but you cant hear me answer

how sad.
