The Night The Sky Fell Down

The Night The Sky Fell Down

A Poem by GlamGirl
"

The cries, the screams, the fires, the dreams

"

Brown hair, blue eyes.

I was only six.

The night the sky fell down.

Mommy dragged me outside.

I started coughing and choking

from all of the thick black smoke.

The night the sky fell down.

“Don’t look around,” she said,

covering my eyes with her

soft, warm hands.

The night the sky fell down.

Looking around, there were people everywhere.

Crying people, Burning people, Dead people.

The night the sky fell down.

I felt the heat scorch my pale skin.

Flames were flying out of every window.

The night the sky fell down.

The fires hurt my mommy.

Her last words, “Don’t remember

The night the sky fell down.”

But mommy, I do remember.

The cries, the screams, the fires, the dreams of

The night the sky fell down.

I heard the title line from a song that I was listening to (which is way too embarrassing to be quoted here :P)

Interesting, and morbid. Some times I wonder how you come up with such horrlible things. But then again, it does make a good read. Very nicely written.
