NightA Poem by GlamGirlWhen your senses come aliveBreathe in. The air is cool, but thick with humidity. The sky is dark blue, haunted by the dark silhouettes of trees. Breathe out. The grass feels soothing beneath my tired bare feet. A gentle breeze brushes my skin, telling me to let go. Breathe in. Crickets are chirping in the silent woods. A car passes, stirring gravel on the unpaved road. Breath out. The smell of barbeque still lingers in the air, making my stomach grumble. Another smell is vague, yet always present. The smell of relaxation, and finally closing your eyes at the end of a long day. The smell of the sun setting, and the moon rising. The smell of… Breathe in. Breath out.
