Magic

Every little thing he does is magic.

He picked them up, 

Carefully turning them over

in his hand.

I quickly picked one, 

closely watching his 

cheating

lying

mysterious 

eyes. 

I snuck a peek.

The Ace of Diamonds. 

I slid it back

into the pile,

so that it was 

hopefully hopelessly lost

from his sneaky

mind.

Keeping his eyes

locked on mine,

He divided them 

into piles,

and shuffled them

all together. 

Skimming over them,

his fingers lingered 

over a certain card.

He pulled it out 

with a flourish.

The Ace of Diamonds.

Magic.
