I walk away

I walk away

A Poem by George turner
"

might be a little depressing. the genre isn't exactly right but close enough.

"
I look down at the man before me
he has lost everything
but the change i my pocket might buy him one more night of life
I walk away

I look down at the woman before me
she has betrayed me
but she asks for my forgiveness
I walk away

I look down at my father
we have never been close
his dying wish is to hear me say I love him
I walk away

I look down at everyone
all it takes is one mistake
I know I will be left with nothing
but I still walk away

I look up at the man in front of me
I have lost everything
but the change in his pocket might buy me one more night of life
he walks away

Loved your poem....loved the way you did the role reversal in the first and last paragraph....and the way it talks about you reap what you sow...awesome work :)
