I Paint My Life Blue

I Paint My Life Blue

A Poem by Kaylee Guise
"

Here's a little something I've been working on recently. It's short and sweet. Enjoy!

"
I paint my life blue,
But the red is still seeping through.
Spiteful freaks and forgotten leaks
Are constantly drowning my mind.

A facade, or perhaps a mirage
Of opal optimism
Desperately attempts to blanket
Periwinkle pessimism.

In the deafening silence of night,
A masquerade unfolds.
In her scarlet dress, the damsel in distress
Does not appear to need saving at all.
