Kurt

Kurt

A Poem by Lauren
"

In honour of Kurt Cobain; my interputation of Cobain's life and death combined with Nirvana song lyrics (in italics and bold font).

"

Kurt

Your cauldron heart boils fire and fry

With distorted anger and love loss

Smells Like Teen Spirit

Drifting from the art studio inside your heroin kissed head

Come As You Are

Speak soft; protest loud

Put it in song

Snarl

Howling on the yellow moon

Twenty-seven

Tender age in bloom

Bright youthfulness melded with adulthoods dark shades

Twisted humour

Dark smile with a rabid tooth

You seem Afraid,

Afraid of a ghost

In your mind

It will Drain You

Rather be dead than cool

You are both,

my dear

Author's Note

Lauren
I had to write a poem on a topic of my choice for school. My teacher is very open to all sorts of creativity, but she doesn't know much about Kurt Cobain or Nirvana; do you think she'll like and understand this poem to an extent?
