Missing you is what I can't do

Missing you is what I can't do

A Poem by *Beautifully~Broken*

You came into my life and turned it upside down

Like a tornado with roaring sound

Sweeping me up into your twirl

Tossing me around in your whirl

I fell so hard I thought I'd die

Instead you taught me how to fly

One semester together

One summer apart

I'm holding on by tethers

Trying to play my part

But my love is fading like feathers

And it’s breaking my heart

You swear things won't change

But since you left I've felt so strange

I think I've forgotten how to smile

Because we're separated by so many miles

I know when you come back I'll run to you

But right now missing you is what I can't do
