Drowning Again

Drowning Again

A Poem by SuperVaish

The sorrows of the past all merge into one,
until all there's left to see is oneself.
Never knew these depths of me
until I start swimming in my mind.
Alas, what starts as a means to pass time
turns into an obsession.
Before I know it, I am drowning again.

The desire to dream is an emotion
that I have barely touched upon.
Strange things happen to those who dream,
it leaves me drowning again.

The ocean beckons me to plunge in.
I dare not dip a toe.
For the tides of emotion, I cannot bear,
engulf me and leave me
drowning.
