Rewriting ImaginationA Poem by girloverboard313Title isn't final. It's after 3 AM and I wrote from my heart in like five minutes. Other suggestions are welcome! In case some don't knoq the back story, I had a miscarriage myself.I'm not a normal mother.
I never got to hold my child Right after their birth I never got to feed them Or teach them how feet work. I never brought them home with me Or even to the ward But I still have big dreams for them Born or not born. For me, they were born The moment that I knew It's funny you could love them Not knowing really who. The father doesn't get it, Not quite 'til they're here But for us moms who carry We know who we will bare. Some mommys can hold them but some don't get the chance Some can hear a heartbeat and some don't get a glance. Every mom is different One way, they're the same We re all still mothers Whether or not we name. The situation's difficult Sometimes harder than not But one thing stays the same Every mom would have fought Truly what we want though at one point or another What's best for them is best that's the logic of a mother I may not hold my baby each day Bathe them, teach them to talk But us moms, we have a special gift We can always feel them walk When we are young They say the key is to imagine When you're a childless mother Imagination really happens Believe it or not Stressful situation or blessing Everything is worth it If you rewrite the lesson. © 2015 girloverboard313Author's Note
