You know not I

You know not I

A Poem by GirlofNoImportance

You know not I

I know not you

You know not my heart.

I have not yet used it.

Protected by I from those you might abuse it.

Feared by I to use it. To lose it.

I know not your heart.

I hide from you when you are what I seek.

Afraid of the truth that you might speak.

Happiest in sadness.

I have become a good liar.

I know not I.

For a first poem! Two thumbs up! and many Kudos! Your ink was well crafted and carried your core idea, emotions and them through to the reader flawlessly.
The piece brought to mind the idea of someone that is at a edge point in their lives. They see what they wish, but fear being hurt and the know what they don't want, but are not willing to take the nessesary life's risks to get to the doors that might shine a better light for them.
I have stood on that edge many times and it always sucked!

Great Ink!

Wow, you command the language so well I don't think I would have believe that was the first poem you wrote.
It reads off the screen like I hear someone reading it out loud, which is something some people that write poetry don't seem to get.
And the circular kind of nature of it, coming back to the beginning at the end.
I enjoyed reading it.
