Pain of Love

Pain of Love

A Poem by Amanda Dawn Sanderson-Greer

the pain you bring me

is not a pain of heartache

but a pain of love

the understanding

of what this love means to me

is too powerful

never shall i love

the way i'm in love with you

a constant hunger

the pain you bring me

is not a pain of heartache

but a pain of love

Pretty much wraps up that feeling when you feel so in tune with somebody that just the smell of them get you runnin' and gunnin'. I think there are people who are so physical a match for us genetically that just their presence wields a power stronger than just love....its in the gut I think. Nice write.

This is really good. It's so true because when you're in love with someone everything about them you love, sometimes to the point it hurts. But it's a good pain. Good job! :)

The pain of love is both sad and beautiful. I like that you wrote this in haiku form, it gives a soft beat to this melancholy poem. I love it, great write(:

The repetition of this poem is the component that really caught my eye. It was love, now it's pain, then it says love again then back to pain. I love it.

Sort of sad, because love is that way, often painful and melancholy. Your repetition of the word pain really catches the reader's attention and your proper language skills add to the emotion of the peice. Very profound, sad poem.

These words are the focus of this poem... It adds depth to everything this poem is saying... I love this poem because it speaks so many volumes, and has so much emotion... I need a tissue because I feel for the one who lost love.. Another profound read
