And you listen.. with all

The broken man in front
Of you shows
Desperate in his pleas
All you do is listen
For that's all you can do.

How true it is: "For that's all you can do." When you speak with those who have suffered, or go to funerals of loved ones, there is never anything good to say. The things people offer are usually the things you're supposed to say at stuff like this, or just dumb stuff that is a poor attempt to fill the awkward silence. What could you say? Most of the time, the best thing you could do is listen.

I think by listening to what someone is saying.. And the way they phrase it.. gives away more of their nature.. than the action or the way they live.. for words come out formed in sentences are said sub consciously..

It's sort of an experience.. just listening to someone has helped them more and I've also gleaned on their habits.. if that's the word? Thought process more like.. but I'll say it again. It's just a thought

One of the truest things I have read. Sometimes there are no words we could provide that could give solace and as you put it; all you can do is listen. Sometimes that's all that other person needs, a person to rest their words on, if only for a little while, and for them, it would be enough.
