Yellow BlossomA Poem by NickiYellow petals smiling bright Beneath the golden glow of the warm sunlight With the breeze the blossom dances Playfully it pirouettes and prances All in rhythm to the wind chime Summer's symphony is truly sublime The sweet aroma of the flowers here Spins and spirals with charismatic flair But, the little yellow flower sits humbly In the yard far from where the garden be It's plucked up by its delicate stem The poor dandelion uprooted, condemned Blasted with malicious sprays and torn from the ground By gardeners with sinful hands that destroy the world around Just like all the other flowers, you came from a seed So why, oh why, poor dandelion, where you labeled a weed? © 2015 NickiReviews
