Lady in the Moonlight

Lady in the Moonlight

A Poem by gingerpress

The Lady in the Moonlight.

She wanders in the moonlight.
Streaks of silvery shining glow
Wash over her fading silhouette.
Ghostly.

Soft curves of the goddess moon,
Caress the sky, skimming over the
 Sensuous, roundness of her hips.
Longingly.

Stars like diamonds studded in a
crystal case, glistening in disarray,
Overflow, filling in her spirit.
Defiantly.

Shades of deep sapphire envelope
the heavens, spilling into the darkness,
Covering her tired, cerulean eyes.
Sadly.

Whispering winds swirling high,
Creep silently, through the shadows and
Into the crevices of her mind.
Knowingly.

Time immobile in endless infinity,
Creates an inescapable void that
Captures her body but frees her soul.
Finality.
