TreeA Poem by Corey CoreysWritten from an experiment in science...amazing how a little thing can grow so largeIt was just a little sapling When I saw it first Bugs and disease plagued it Killing all its beauty
Water was added A little shade was concurred Its soil was firmed up Weed killer was thrown on it
It started to grow But it was still plagued Now from inside So another tactic was added
A swing was hung From its highest branch Many feet climbed it Birds nestled in its leaves
Low and behold The beauty began to manifest Like an angel with a trunk The plague had been defeated
Now the little sapling I had first seen Is a fearless, strong tree No windstorm can shake her No plagues take her down now
You see With a little guidance and nurturing Even the most helplessly pitiful sapling Can become a praise-worthy tree © 2012 Corey CoreysAuthor's Note
