Rubber Ducky.

Rubber Ducky.

A Poem by Gina Skipworth
"

I was giving my daughter a bath, and decided to introduce her to bath toys. She had mixed emotions about the rubber ducky.

"
Splash, splash.

There's a ducky in my bubble bath.
I don't like this thing that quacks,
Mommy, please just take it back.

It takes up space,
It's hard to chew,
I just don't know what to do!

"Okay, okay, I'll take it out."

No!
Give it back or I will pout.

I guess my ducky isn't bad,
I'm sorry yellow thing that's loud.
To have you as a friend, I'm proud.

I accept your beak, and the way you squeak
But that fish over there is just a freak.

Rubber Ducky, you're the one. Rubber Ducky, so much fun. Get that fishy out of here! Mommy, please, get that fishy out of here! Clever use of spare time.
