Life is a Metaphor

Life is a Metaphor

A Poem by Gilad Levanon
"

Saturday afternoon wonderings...

"
The Africans of ancient time
Spoke of the nature of the human being
They described it as a seed innately sublime
Filled with potential in need of freeing
And in order for it to skyward climb
It required earth's nurture lovingly seeing

The wise ones of ancient India
Described the world in which we live
As the body of the first man, Perusha
With all things that life does give
Components of the unifying energy, Brahma
Thus we are all parts of one existence so massive

Science shows us the shape of bronchi
The vessels which carry air to our lungs and body
They resemble the shape of trees so uncannily
No coincidence that earth's air exchange organ is a tree
Open your eyes and your heart and you will learn to see

Life is a metaphor
All things representing all things
All things shedding wisdom on the nature of all things
Accept this truth and allow it nurture you and relish the ecstasy it brings
