The Earthsome BeatA Poem by Gilad LevanonPartly inspired by "Born of darkness..." by Craig Froman, thank you Craig (http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/cfroman/613008/). Mostly inspired by Mother Earth herself, thank you Gaia.Sun, rise
on my horizon, Fill my
meadow with your solid warmth, Mud,
squelch between my toes, Tickle my
feet with your slick slipperiness, River,
trickle on by, Tantalize
my ears with your curling melodies, Wind, bring
me the sweetest scents, Light my
breath with your slithering wisps, The
earthsome beat, Pounding
beneath my feat, The
watersome blood, Coursing with
every thud, The airsome
breath, Between
here and death, The
firesome soul, To make us
whole, This day I
celebrate this life, This day
joy is rife, I smile at
the firesome sunrise, I revel in
the earthsome mud, I dance
with the watersome river, I rejoice
in the airsome breeze, Solid earth
does link me to this reality, She does
remind me of my stage in this journey, She
translates the firesome sun, So we may
live this far from whence we have come, She is
power, primal and mighty, She is the
deepest rhythm inside me, Here my
loyal river nourishes me, He brings
me the ingredient I need to live freely, How vital
he is to cool my soul, He teaches
me to flow easily into my role, He keeps
earth’s translation alive, He gives us
all the opportunity to thrive, From the
wind I remember air, Feeling the
breeze I relinquish despair, For the air
teaches me to remember what I cannot see, Freely it
reminds me to remember my immortality, Focussing
on my inhale and my release, Finally I
am at peace, Burning in
the skies above, Blazing
with eternal love, Brings to
my earth the energy for being, Begins the
cycle of learning and seeing, Brings me
the ultimate lesson does the sun, The earthsome beat, Pounding beneath my feat, The watersome blood, Coursing with every thud, The airsome breath, Between here and death, The firesome soul, To make us whole, © GILAD LEVANON 2011© 2012 Gilad LevanonFeatured Review
