Too Many Words

Too Many Words

A Poem by Gilad Levanon

Too many words.

Vocabulary overflow.

I sit on this chair.

I lounge about languidly upon this cushioned seat.

Bored out of my skull.

Apathetic beyond the limits of my cranial capsule.

Nothing to do.

Devoid of an action to execute.

Just listening to my music.

Simply allowing the powerful melodies to captivate my auditory senses.

About to go crazy.

On the brink of abandoning all sanity.

Isn’t there someone to save me?

Is there not a free soul left to offer me salvation from this place?

Too many words.

Vastly too great a volume of terminology.

I sense anxiety, anguish, turmoil.....and not knowing you I would not presume to save you. Yet I believe I could, not in my own strength, never, but by love which never fails.....and I speak not of my own love right now!

Too many words...I agree....'Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.' ( Psalm 46 verse 10 )
I have often had to apply this truth throughout my life.
