Life is about LoveA Poem by Gilad LevanonLove is a feeling. It is everything.
What is the meaning of this all?
Why is it that from grace we did fall? Is there really a god? If so, then why? If not, then why? Why are we here? What are we meant to do? Why do so many go through life, Suffering all the way through? Why do people like what they like? Why do people hate what they hate? Why do you ride your bike? Why do you eat what's on your plate? Why do I cry? Why do I frown? Why do I laugh? Why do I smile? Why is it that what goes up must come down? Why is it that my heart beats all the while? Why is there happiness and joy? Why is this my favourite toy? Why is there anguish and strife? What, I say, is the meaning of life? Life, my child, is about love, And all the joy it brings, We fell from grace because we forgot our love, And the song of life that it sings, We create our own pain, To remind ourselves to love again, Likes and hates are but mere mistakes, You think they are who you are, But they are just mechanisms of survival, That your mind makes, You cry and you frown, Because your mind thinks it is you, It fears its' death, Because it cannot know love, In the way that is true, So learn to love, my child, And you will see the only real reason, You ever truly smiled, Seek out the beauty in things, Even things that are ugly, And share the joy that this knowledge brings, And you will never again smile smugly, If you heed these words, You will find the truth of what I say, You will find peace and harmony in each joyous day, And you will grow to love, This divine game that we all do play, As for the question of "god", That is but another word for love, A fairytale in the minds of those, That think love comes from above, But the truth that it comes from within, Deep down, really everyone knows, But what is the point of love you ask, I laugh and know not the answer, And I do not seek it, For it is enough for me, To in love's golden glory bask... © GILAD LEVANON 2011
