A cry for HelpA Poem by emone emmanuelThe soul is serious searching for hope. The future seems dark when the rulers are still oppressing the next generation.
If only I where a prophet
Things would have been Better for me For I know not what The future holds for me Judging from what I am seeing today. For they said to me You are the leader of tomorrow But they are still Leading the leader of tomorrow. Now I am grown But they are old They still tell me Child one day you will lead this nation. I said no This hypocrisy must stop For the test of maturity Is the test of responsibility. They said no The test of maturity Is your ability to remain a child. So I said no again But this time It was from a different location For I was locked in prison For fighting for my rights. © 2013 emone emmanuel |
