[untitled]A Poem by J. Edward Gibbsi am a shell nothing is on my mind my fingers hit the notes playing music from the sky how absurd is life working like a fiend for that fix to end all fix's the grand lotto cheese prize that we were all taught to chase singing lullabies in mens restrooms to soothe the nevers burnt out from running the man made maze i never wanted to be born blue collar or even white collar or no collar for that matter but here I am racing with the other rats trying to get the cheese that last fix the one that will set us free than i can run through meadows giddy like a little kid singing lullabies to the stars with no attempt to soothe anything becaue all is peaceful in paradise and that is why the world is hell and so are other people because together they gave birth to the rat race the dream killing factory that turns men into shells and swine into kings no justice in this world so turn off the mind and let your fingures play notes to the music from the sky a soothing lullaby for when your dreams die
