Death

Death

A Poem by April

When dispair grows inside me,
I feel neither weak or strong,
I sit here looking up at the stars,
Letting the pain burn inside me,
Let the pain eat away at me,
I wonder as I sit here,
Will my pain destroy me?
As tears start to run down my face,
I hear a noise,
I turn to look and see death staring right at me,
He stares at me,
I look away from him and stand up,
This pain I have will be the end of me,
As I look down the hill,
Seeing the city lights glow knowing I will never return home,
I blow a kiss wishing everyone I ever loved good luck,
I turn around and walk towards death,
He reach out his hand,
I grab his hand and disappear into the darkness of night.

A very good story in your poem. I do believe Death will come and we have no option. I like how you described the situation and the powerful ending. Thank you for a excellent poem.

This was sad...because you don't need to go out like that. I thought you did a great job on this. I read it before and it was beautiful then and it's beautiful now. Thanks for sharing. :)
