she sits

she sits

A Story by April

There she sits,in the car, eyes glazed out the window. On the dark parkway with
many lights from cars and post, nothing shines on her.she is darkened in the
shadow of the sadness that has overcome her. There she sits in the classroom
filled with students. Many people surround, yet her soul feels single in the big
empty room. The raindrops trickle down the window, and reminds her of the warm
tears that ran down her face. Her heart seems to bleed with the cry of sorrow
that no-self could ever cure. There she sits, behind the desk, listening to the
music that fills her world. The song replay over and over again, yet never
getting old. The beat like a drum of her heart, it used to play smooth and
sweet; but now the tempo crashes and the beat is off-key. There she sits, crying
in the corner. All the faces a blur, but she seems to recognize their hearts.
All sounding soft as slick, strumming against the strings of ones another.
While she sits in the dark, with the beat of another drums, strumming along to
an electric guitar. The amp is turned up high and the sound weeps so that the
whole world knows of the words holds. She just sits there in a shock that the
tears that once ticked from her face, gave her lake; a lake of old memories
taken from her and thrown into a swap. She sits that way forever, painting
pictures in her mind of what it used to be like. The beautiful remarks imprinted
in her head, and all the thought and the answers left unsaid. Why do things
change so quickly? Why do days turn to hours and our lives pass us by? There she
sits wondering off, wondering if all her questions were answered, that her
troubles would go away.

Last line is fact. Few people can find peace in a life. I have held peace and control over my life for short periods of time in a life. Life give you problems and reasons to be alive and go forward. I like how you went to different places and the internal thoughts took you to a wise ending. A excellent story. Thank you.

This was a good story. Troubling thoughts though. I don't think anyone has the answers to the question asked, but something always does happen like this. Good story.
