Will you walk by my side?

As we follow our dreams,

Will you be there, or should I cry?

Picking up my pride, no matter how strong or weak it seems,

Will you be there to love?

Will you be there for me to hold?

Will you be just a breath away?

Sharing all the tingles and the shivers of delight,

Sometimes I'm not a big fan of repetition, but the way you've done it here works well. You do a little twist on each repeated line to keep things mixed up & interesting. I'm afraid I'm not personally relating to your message, becuz I'm a very independent person . . . it would bug me to be asked & pleaded with, this way . . . as if any of us can ever predict where life will bring us or let us stay. To me, such promises are illusions but this is still a very valid viewpoint becuz it's what most people want to hear! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
