With Love

With Love

I watched you, with my eyes, with my heart, with love - I watched you,

I watched you, as you slept, and I witnessed beauty and peacefulness,

I watched you, as you raced around all nervous trying to get ready for a hectic day,

I watched you, as you sat silently biting your fingers while you watched an old movie.

I watched you, I saw the thrill you got when you saw a puppy and ran over to see it,

I watched you, as you lit up when we went into the animal barns at the county fairs,

I watched you, the way you beamed, the way you glowed as the cows would lick you,

I watched you, as you made such a fuss over all the small baby animals - I always had a smile,

I watched you, as your joy exploded over nature and I was filled with amazement, with happiness.

I watched you, when you screamed and laughed as you flung your fishing pole in my lap,

I watched you, as you forgot your left from the right when you danced to one of your favorite songs,

I watched you, when you stood in the shower with the water and soap cascading over your sweet body,

I watched you, as you got playful with your son and the way he picked on you - it made me chuckle.

I watched you, the way you smiled softly at me and said you loved me - thank you so much,

I watched you, how you got excited when you played a slot machine and it gave you a small win,

I watched you, as we were driving, and the wind would cause you to put your hair back into a pony tail,

In everyday life - I was lucky and thankful for those moments we shared as I watched you with love....
