Outlaw Rides AloneA Poem by Ghost Outlaw
Rides Alone There
alone stood a cowboy, With
his black Stetson pulled low, His
chaps and leather vest covered in dust, He
was leaning against the bar with a glass of whiskey in hand. He’s
returning from a trip to hell, Armed
and dangerous, he lives life on the edge, As
noticed by the notches etched in the grip of his colt Peacemaker, His
determination, his vengeance holstered on his hip. He
rides out alone with silence for a friend, Where
danger and evil lurk around the cold, hard trail, As
he rides with the devil in his sight, And
he tries to put distance between old ghosts and bad deeds. He'll
never be caught, never be taken alive, Feeling
pain and pleasure as he stands like an unsung hero, Facing
down hustlers, rustlers and thieves, From
the saddle with an angry, blazing gun, Another
man dies, as the outlaw rides alone... 6/19/2017 © 2018 GhostFeatured Review
