Dreamer

A Poem by Ghost

Dreamer

I see your face inside one of my many dreams,

And I know that you’re still out there,

Because I hear your voice whispering, speaking gently to my heart,

Giving it reasons to search, before all else fades away.

I have entered the unchartered deep waters of my mind,

In my rest, I will remain trapped on the wrong side of the river,

Drowning, submerging but refusing to let go,

Of my passions, my thoughts, that go unheard.

I will always be an outsider, a stranger to myself,

And nothing will satisfy my hunger, my desire,

Nothing can break through the barriers that keep me from where I wish to be,

As I struggle for something I can truly believe in.

I am a hopeful dreamer, fighting with nightmares and shadows,

That want to wipe out my secrets and bring me back to reality,

As the nighttime leaves and the morning settles in,

I awake, with tired sore eyes from the tears that I have cried,

Hoping from my dream world that you too cry with me....
