Bitter TearsA Poem by Ghost Bitter Tears The pain inside
eats away slowly, Devouring every
thought, every emotion, Leaving
emptiness, bitterness, loneliness, Held locked
inside is the loss of love. You told me you
loved me but only as a friend, Yet we shared so
much more, How can I come
home to find that our hearts, feelings, intimacies were wrong? That you’ve
known for a while I was to be no more. Now the
loneliness in my soul creeps along cold isolated corridors, Rattling around
every jagged nerve, Penetrating and
haunting my thoughts, Ripping and
pulling me in all directions. Somewhere I
reach out from the bars of isolation, Longing for
those feelings we shared, Only to see and
feel nothingness, While cast aside
in bitter tears…. 7/20/2002 © 2018 GhostFeatured Review
