FishingA Poem by Ghost Fishing My bobber, my pole,
and a bucket of bait, I cast my line then
sit and wait, Then in an instant as
I sit in the grass, My bobber was pulled
under by a monstrous bass. I jumped to my feet
tried to pull him in, But he broke my line
swam away with a grin, Life is like fishing I
guess in a way, You’ve caught fish
last week, but you didn’t today. Sometimes in life
things don’t always go as you wish, Where living your life
is like catching a fish, You get one piece of
line one cup of bait, By the river of life -
you sit and wait. Then in an instant as
you sit upon the bank, Under the water your
bobber quickly sank, You’ve hooked a
monstrous opportunity fish, Your line didn’t break
and you’ve got your wish, So, on the side look
at your life, When the line breaks
do you give up your strife? 9/12/2000 © 2018 GhostFeatured Review
