Forever enchanted

Forever enchanted

A Poem by Ghiasquared

Pluck the strings of my heart with tender kiss
Your presence conducts our orchestra of love
I cherish the playful notes of your smile
And sing with mirth drunk with your scent

As days go by my wonder never dims
Of why you have chosen your path with me
No matter the reason of you by my side
My jubilant mood grows while hand in hand

As days grow gray with dwindling sand
I strive to keep your heart enthralled
Tell me your desired treasure
And my life's work will be to find

In those final days of time together
Looking upon the moonlit lake
We sway gently on the porch swing
Hands held in loving embrace

Fog swirls lazily on the mirrored moon
The frogs serenade in soft voice
A light giggle from you
As bliss descends upon our world

Beautiful, just a beautiful way to exit. Very well done.

I really enjoyed this poem. It is truly beautiful. If I had to criticize anything, it would be the last line. The first four stanzas are beautiful illustrations of a couple's love. The last stanza is much more in the moment, but I guess I am confused about 'bliss descends'. It sounds pretty blissful throughout.
