Looking for leaders

Looking past the molded face,
Deep within comes out in those eyes,
Always at our countries disgrace,
Spewing the same old lies,

It's always been this way,
Our leaders care no more,
At the end of any given day,
They're a bunch of power w****s,

Public servant is such a jest,
Self serving agendas behind the mask,
Never there to clean up the mess,
Why can't you just do the task?

No matter what side you say your on,
Tomorrow changes your reason,
Just like a light switch flips off and on,
You only look to next season,

Stand up and cast the shroud aside,
Show us you have a clue,
Make us believe you'll abide,
Stand up and show you're true,

All we want is to be kept from going astray,
Lead us to the envy of nations,
Help us succeed everyday day,
Leaving it better for generations...
