Drowning night

Drowning night

A Poem by Ghiasquared

Head heavy with the grief of it all
Listing from side to side
Eyes red with liquid tranquilizers
Mind numbed but not enough
The place he seeks will never be
His life gone in the flash of powder
She never knew what angered him
He knows not either
As cold chrome touches temple
Another flash seals the night
The child peeks around the door
As his world slumps in chair
A tear crests
He turns away
Walking into snowy night
As chaos of light and sound explodes
He looks up into the heavens
And knows that all will be brighter
When the sun drowns this night away
