Naked soul

Naked soul

A Poem by Ghiasquared

Seeming cold to some
Emotions controlled with iron will
My heart hidden by walls of stone
The world sees only what I allow
You have the key to that place
Though it is rare that you unlock
It is always there for you
See the glimpse of it
As I turn away
When you weep
Afraid to show all
You see a fleeting drop
As my eyes bleed the sorrow
Into covered hands
I look away not in spite
My soul has merely cracked
And I try to staunch the flow
In my private way
Come to me
In my arms
We will share your tears
On our shoulders
As we pull together as one
My heart and soul forged
Into yours
Within the fires of our love

Interesting. I usually don't go in for love poems, but this has a subtle genuine voice. I am not sure that I would agree with every word choice or line, but the emotion behind them makes them explode from the page. Very cool.
cheers!
