Siren of respite

Siren of respite

A Poem by Ghiasquared

Pressure builds a pain colored vision
In pounding lights relentless play
Calming repose of no use yet
As the descending spiral speeds
Every echo a thunderous hammer
Unrelenting agony of body
Pulsating Satan of mind
Temples of fire arise
Suffering bringing forth babe
In moment of tortured apex
Salvation of angel comes
This siren of sedation
She calms the torrent
With comforting pellet
Ascending out of it now
The clouds whisk away all sense
Cherished peace now reigns
All is forgotten upon this day
As mind is numb in her caress
