World consumed

World consumed

A Poem by Ghiasquared

This world turned to selfish muck,
People wandering with blinders on,
Kindred spirits never to be known,
Cherished memories never to happen,

The young of now learning the hate,
Taught by immaturity in parent costume,
Selfless ideals a distant echo,
Helping another a dream undone,

Standing on the edge of this day,
Gazing upon the mindless minions,
A tear crests and falls,
Shouts of sanity fall unheeded,

Our undoing can be stopped,
If we only listen and see,
Share our fate along with wealth,
And life will brighten this day once more.
