Children of the moment

Children of the moment

A Poem by Ghiasquared

Rushing with them through the years,
Living through the smiles and tears,
Watching them enjoy the fun of it all,
Sharing problems both big and small,

The patter of feet turn to thunder,
Their eyes still full of wonder,
Once they were the size of my hand,
Now taller than me they stand,

Torn between push and tug,
They've outgrown that simple hug,
Once I guided them until they moved away,
Now I sit back and I cherish everyday.
