The Gods of Kemet

The Gods of Kemet

A Poem by Ghiasquared

As Re's dominance subsides into nether I travel,
My young son upon battlefield tonight,
His glory is my wish upon this time,
We enter the colosseum with fray in motion,
As the air fills with cries of patrons,
Both kindred and foe,
Chons rises upon Nut's domain with full glory,
As I enjoy my respite under Geb's watchful eye,
The fray goes well for my son,
His fierce brothers stand firm against all,
And march forward to victory,
The smell of night and glory mix,
We leave this field under watchful eyes,
Onward to our dwellings for feast,
Our sons are filled with pride,
The Gods have deemed them worthy,
We celebrate now,
For the path to glory is on morrow,
Another battle awaits...
