Selfish fate

Selfish fate

A Poem by Ghiasquared

Hell hath no fury like a heart torn,
Asunder in this world of hate,
So self centered these people I meet,
They understand not the wicked fate.

Even when fate cruels them too,
They sit upon their thrones of self,
Not caring for the ones they love,
With books of mirrors upon their shelf.

One day when they stand alone,
Sorrowful of all they've judged,
No one cares what they think,
Alone along the path they'll trudge.

The golden rule should be their gospel,
With it alone their fate be stayed,
Others will care again for them,
For only then their life unfrayed.
