The journey

The journey

A Poem by Ghiasquared

flash of thought
a dream fades to black
eyes are slowly opened
awoken from slumber

who am I, where have I been

blurred vision clears
memories fade
light rakes vision
a new morn

where was I, what did I dream

new day brings the unknown
turmoiled thoughts abound
mind broiling with thought
must slake my thirst

where will I go, who will I be

the journey before me
a path unknown
twists and turns shall abound
the map is in my mind

who will I meet, what will I become

my strength is great
wings spread full
no longer will I know this land
I fly into the light

the journey begins

I was wading through old reviews last night, sort of a homework assignment, and thinking about the wonderful poets I've known since I first got here . . . almost three years now . . . you were among them :)
