Friends

Friends

A Poem by Ghiasquared

Mine eyes which have shone so brightly,
have dulled with angst of life

While body withers into the gray beyond,
my spirit shall overcome all tribulations

Surrounded by the circle of friends,
one can draw strength with no bounds

The phoenix shall course through me,
uplifting upon the cresting wave

Awash with life I soar,
above the world on high

Alone one will perish with grief,
sorrow with no end

Together we shall create anew,
this life I have found

Grateful for all contributions,
I shall return in kind
