An Angry Poem

An Angry Poem

A Poem by Gharam Al Sendi

You thought I was going to stay like this forever.

Little did you know,

Your mental torture has turned me into the sadistic masochist that I am today.

Little do you know how I no longer cry myself to sleep,

But listen to angry music in my dark room until 2 A.M.

While I think of all the ways I can seek revenge.

Seeking revenge does not make me a bad person.

It makes me a smart one.

Especially when I’m dealing with someone like you.

Because I know full well that you will not stop,

Until you feel the pain yourself.

And even then,

I’m not so sure you’ll stop.

You’re going to push even harder.

But guess what,

So will I.

I will not back down,

Until I leave this 8th circle of hell.
