forge your lambA Poem by lacuna scizzorhandzthis is an account of my personal experience with certain spirits“hey!” a fragile voice screams the lady in white begs me to follow “just go to the woods, darling i’ll take care of you, i promise you can put your trust in me” a blurry mass of words suffocates her hand outstretched as i shiver “come on, sweetie just lie down in the river and lie down slowly please” a world of silence and white precedes this delusion panic spilling through and paralyzing there’s no way in hell this is an illusion i just need to get up get out get out a man appears above my bed asks if i’m aware i’m dead (are you aware you’re dead?) he reaches for my face and stabs his talons through my skull “hey!” i think she wants to help “please tell me who you are” i beg “are you here to save me? do you care?” i cannot see, her voice was grey a silent pause "are you still there?" they grow louder, unsure and contradicting “go to the river! it won’t hurt” “you’ll drown, my love, don’t listen please” figures of white cross out my eyes the shadow weeps he cannot reach me i sit up then watch as i lie motionless get up get up get up i want to scream no sound escapes my throat burning piercing writhing pain white hot and numbing sharper than young claws duller than the thud of a half-beating heart © 2020 lacuna scizzorhandzAuthor's Note
