 Few Minutes to Midnight

Ever wondered what happens to the sun at dusk
Or of the moon’s abode at dawn
Even so is the mystery of the Lord’s coming whether it will be at dawn or at dusk
But ensure that at his coming you are not down

At midnight there is a cessation from all work
Work while it is still day
Not being afraid of Belial’s mock
All things are to be dissolved by fire do not delay

The Lord’s coming is at hand
Some will weep and gnash their teeth as the savior comes like a thief
Coming for the harvest of his church all over the land
Expectant of a church with neither spots nor wrinkles nor even mischief

Just few minutes to midnight
At midnight all work ceases
Heaven’s clock still ticking towards tight
Paradise prepared for people of all sizes

Folks with this hope keep themselves pure
Hoping to be like him
Through a glance at the Lord’s pure grandeur
Holding fast both the confidence and hope firm

The clock shows it is just few minutes to midnight
Pilgrims set your minds on the heavenly
Lest anyone steals your crown of the jubilation night
For in a twinkling of an eye he will come quickly

Aim at being a pillar in God’s temple
If the Lord blessed you with ears, hear
For soon all things shall tremble
With only few minutes to midnight left to draw near

Embrace the Lord of glory now as savior to avoid a drown
With his outstretched arm he waits
For at midnight the curtain of life shall be drawn
Do not hesitate, hasten your gait.
