Charades

I want to descend into myself.

I'm merely a corpse of a living log.

Descend into,

descend into,

again and again.

Then evaporate,

leaving a Poe-like finish.

Fill the people with puzzle.

"Why would you leave?"

Then at my funeral,

watch my enemies pretend,

and those who pushed when they saw me pale,

...

my soul would drag them,

but lets not say where they'd go,

lets just say

down

down

Creepily satisfying. I need to give this one a few more reads. The Poe reference confounds me at the moment, but I find the imagery and ending very compelling.
