Not Long Now

My Heart, it ain't what it Use to Be

And sometimes that's All I feel is Pain

But I ain't ready to Quit

Sure don't wanna stop bein' Sane

My aches, may strangle my Smile

And my breath ain't as deep as Before

But I got a Heart within Me

That will never, ever feel Sore

You See there's Life without this Body

That some never really come to Know

But now that mine is Failin' Me

There's so much more it has to Show

I'll never run a Marathon

And I won't be hittin' em off the Tee

It doesn't matter just as Long

As I can rest in knowing I Am Free

I've surrendered to the Master

There's nothing more for me to Prove

I've cried some tears and enjoyed Laughter

Though the Mountain I have not Moved

I've had a good Life, I know I'm Loved

I'm thankful for All I have been Shown

I know the God within and Above

Grateful for the trials and how I've Grown

When it comes My time to Drift Away

Remember only the Smile we Shared

And I pray most when it comes that Day

That You'll Remember how much that I Cared

I'm thankful for the Words that Came

That I could write them to help Another

After all this Life is not a Game

But it's Our gateway to the Here After

To All my Friends who Struggle in Body or Mind

You are not Alone in this I Say

And I pray you'll know My Heart is Kind

And We are Spirit First and Lesser are we Clay

Take Heart in knowing All you've Come Thru

Has brought you here to this Special Now

When You can Stand and State that You are True

We found Ourselves and are Proud before our Final Bow

Surrender is the Only Way

Once you're on this Lonely Path

Surrender is the Key to the Gate

To free you from your Own Wrath

To know yourself is the greatest Quest

And we will Seek it to the very End

Love Forever conquers Hate

And My Love is what I'll Share when we meet Again

Be Fair
Be Humble
Be Kind
and Be True

But most of All - Be LOVE and Share Peace
