Mountain River Wash Me

whew ... I journeyed on Friday, only 20 minutes from home, but I swear I reached the stars.

I took it to the nearest waters Edge

When I could not carry Anymore

Before I moved to the Ledge

I unloaded all that was dragging, all that Tore

I went to the Rivers Side

I asked the River to Cleanse my Soul

In my Nature where nothing Hides

I found Myself becoming Whole

I went up to my Mountain High

I asked my Mountain to Replenish Me

I just did it, I did not Try

And the hours flew as I began to See

The trail led me to just where I Needed

The trail brought me to my cleansing Spot

A perfect day for all that I Seeded

The water was cold and rushing, taking all I was NOT

The Water was Cold and the Sun was Warm

The Sky above Blue, and all around Spring Green

In my Nature there is Nothing to Harm

All that was there with Me both Seen and Unseen

I opened my Heart and I sang with Joy

I have always been this child who Knows she Loves Me

I remembered back to when I was a little Boy

She whispered softly it is time for you to See

She whispered softly her breeze caressing the Aspen Leaves

My Mountain standing tall and Proud, I'm within Him

The Answers are there behind the One who Sees

It's time Child for you to Stand, your final journey Begin

Don't worry about your friends in the Forest

I got this, you need to tend to the Ones more like You

Keep moving now, in time you will find you Rest

Keep shouting there are those who will Hear You

Don't be afraid as your Light grows Brighter

Don't be afraid of the Heights you will Reach

I will always be there to make things Lighter

It's what you do Child, not just what you Speak

River wash me, coldness wake Me, wash me Clean

Wash me clean of all that's gone Before

Wash Me, now give me Strength to know what is not Seen

Keep moving forward, Ever forward, Now and Evermore

Blue Skies above Me, and the Green Below

I know I'm part of all this Nature, Hold me True

Surround me in your Love, help me to feel Whole

Below me is the Green of Life, Above me True Blue

Below me is the Green of Life, Above me only True Blue

I stood above a River of White, and I saw how it cuts Through

Oh, River of White, River of White, cut through my Darkness

The River of White flowing, cutting Through, cutting Through

My River of White, cutting through All my Darkness

Oh River, Oh River, falling from the Sky, Gushing

Come and Cleanse Me, wash me, give me Strength

Put behind all that went before, Strength in my New Beginning

It all becomes clear in this Moment, you provide my Strength

I lit the Fire, on the Shore of my River

Oh Fire, your Energy I take in my three Worlds, I Shiver

I release to the Smoke, The Mountain shares what He Holds

I'm tired of the Pain, I'm tired of being Torn

Not just saying words, taking Action, I won't forget to Play

They all taught Me, I am Flowing, increased Knowing

Fire Burn away all that's not Me

Mountain share all that you are Holding

River wash Me, come and Cleanse Me

Tree share your Mystery, show me where I'm Going

There's nothing I enjoy more than rocky mountain paths and rivers. There's a spot close to where I live that has cliffs you can jump off of in to the river, it's amazing. It's my paradise. You captured how it feels to get out and just be one with your surroundings and nature. Was a good read, thanks for sharing!

Absolutely. Beautiful. I very much enjoyed the imagery in poem, as well I enjoyed how you bring all the parts of nature alive. They speak to you, and you respond. I too love the find my peace in nature away from all the noise physical or otherwise.

thank you so much, I had about 7 hours, maybe the longest time I've spent just me and my nature in a couple years, it was so peaceful, so what I needed. We all need it, we just don't all know that we do. We've been separated mostly just by letting our minds tell us that we are, but in reality there is NO separation, all of us and all life is connected, for sure, and Forever. Blessings, find some time out there, we all need it, especially now, as we are all in our New Beginnings, The New Way of Being will arise from us, a whole new way of Being, Seeing, and the Aboriginals can help us, but it is up to each of us to bring about all the change that we can.
