That Place I've Always Been Goin'

That Place I've Always Been Goin'

A Poem by Healing Star
"

We trick ourselves not seeing it was the journey, to take the time for Song and Dance, not reaching the place, was the whole of It

"
We will meet ourselves one Day on a Distant Shore

Among the sound of softly folding waves into each Other
And in this deep sound our Hearts will meld and fold the Same

On that far and Distant Shore

No words will be Spoken
Not even for all we will be Hopin'

We will meet ourselves one Day on a Distant Shore

And we will Reach out Slowly, and Softly
Not wanting a single thing to Change
A soft quiet but whipping Breeze
Bending the Light Hearted Trees
In a Distance just off that Shore
On that waters Edge, where the sands are a Mirror
With the Sea foam Melting
And Sand bubbles Popping
On that Near and now Quiet Shore

We will Greet Ourselves on that not so Distant, quiet Shore

And the One that we are Will Say
As softly cupping our Face with soft Hands
Whisper you did not realize, it was to Sing
It was to Dance, but now you only feel a Sting
And you turn as the Image Fades
That Image of those soft waves Folding
On that now becoming a little more Distant Shore

Why not just a few months Sooner
Could I not have seen how I should Change
If not even hours Sooner
And that we had time to rise Together
And to share a Song with our Voices
Bodies come together for even just one final Dance

But I did work until the clock Struck
That lonely final Hour
I tricked myself into Believing
That I lived a Life full and Grand
But how many payments made would I've Changed
For just one more moment on that Quiet Moist Sand
And just one more glance, and a moment with your Hand

About
I am a man who has finally realized he needs to write down what matters to him, that I might learn from myself, what is important, what I value. To capture who I am now, for that is all we have is no.. more..
